Stoney Nakoda First Nation

We are a Nation of almost 5000 people. We inhabit the valley and surrounding hills of the Bow River, the Highwood River and the Big Horn. Our primary encampment is situated between the #1 and the #1A Highway. Our primary town site Morley, Alberta is located approximately 61km. west of Calgary and about 50km. east of Banff, Alberta. Some 550 of our Nation reside in Eden Valley almost 100 miles south just west of Longview and approximately 250 live 100 miles north at Big Horn, west near Nordegg. We speak both English and our native tongue Nakoda Sioux.
